I got to spent Saturday evening with the Hayes! We went to the North End of Boston and found Mike's Pastries.

It was hilarious that they were giving me the tour of Boston, but I'm so very glad they did.... Three words. Chocolate Mousse Cannoli. I've never had a cannoli before.

I will definitely be back here again!
Maybe tomorrow.
Maybe I'll just pop in to Mike's this afternoon?
I hear from Natalie the lobster tail is also good...
I must test this theory.

I was also very interested in all of the crazy alley ways.

Since I'm a camera person, I sort of lagged behind.
Plan on spending more time downtown now that I'm not scared of going downtown.
In Phoenix I'm sure I'd be shot by now in an alley like this!

Just can't keep up with John & Jacque.

We got hungry and a local told us about the Pizzeria Regina.
So very glad we found it.
The smell outside was unbelievable!

And the pizza sauce was amazing!
They should make air fresheners.
Then I could serve frozen pizza and trick people...

Got late and the next day was daylight savings time.
Never had to worry about that in Arizona.
Can't wait to head downtown again.

I love wandering around downtown Boston with my camera. I must be a baking snob because I think Mike's Pastry is over-rated. But Pizzeria Regina? That's the real deal.
Um Regina Pizzeria!! Love that place too. I absolutley love the alley's in the North End, but I also love the windows, pay attention to those they are so interesting. You also have to go to Boston Common to see the Make Way For Ducklings statue they have there. The coolest park. There is so much to do there you really never are at a loss of things to do, only what to get in that weekend. Love it there.
Oh, there is another bakery down there that is really good too, but I can't remember what it is called.
