For Spring Break, the kids and I headed out on a road trip to visit Mom & Dad in Kirtland, Ohio. We stopped in Palmyra for about an hour and hiked around the Sacred Grove. Not as green and lush as I had imagined, but beautiful none the less.

Mom & Dad are serving a mission at the Historic Kirtland Visitor's Center. Their apartment is right there in the middle of it all. It was really fun to stay there and experience our church history.

Mom & Dad gave us the tour, which was fun!

I think it will stay with Trev & Abby because they heard it from their Grandparents. It was fun to see how much they had learned.

I could also tell that Mom & Dad really love serving there. There is such a sweet spirit.

The kids got a little bit "church history toured" out, so we also took a trip to Middlefield. It's the 5th largest Amish settlement in the world. And let me tell you, they know how to make cheese!!!

I just wanted to follow the horse and buggies around all day long.
