We took a family vacation to the Sacred Grove last week.
We enjoyed the peacefulness of the grove. I can't honestly say that it is much different from the woods that surround our home in Massachusetts, but their is a quiet spirit there.
As you walk between the two houses that the Smith family lived in, you can see the Palmyra Temple.
And the "Hill Comorah" is quite the hill! I think it was about 3 miles from Joseph's home and quite a climb! No idea where on the hill that the plates were found, but it would be quite the search!
This is the barn that is right in front of the Smith's home. AND through those open doors is the Sacred Grove.
I also spotted this guy right on top of the Hill Comorah. I figure if you can fly up that high, you should get your picture taken, right?!

I love your pictures from this trip to the Sacred Grove! The are so absolutely beautiful!! You have to make these available for purchase somehow. As I scrolled through I thought that's my favorite, then the next one, same thing. I think...but it's hard...my favorites are the one of the temple and the one of the dragonfly.
