What is the deal with kids and being bored? I run my tail off trying to take my kids to swim team, piano, parks, movies, etc. And what do I get for it?? "I'm bored!" I'm tempted to make them sit on their beds with nothing to do until they figure out how NOT to be bored. Chalk it up to a generation that has been constantly entertained.... TV, videos, movies, games, etc. I still refuse to buy those "watch a movie while I drive" things. Do these kids look bored?
On a side note, I'm pretty sure I saw Posh Spice there... What do you think???

What is it with kids out of school and boredom? Jayden tells me all the time..I'm so bored. I'm with you on the sit on the bed thing. I've threatened it many times. I guess its something I'll never figure out.
Make a list of all the things that need to be done around the house (mop the floor, vacuum, dust, dishes, laundry, clean rooms, etc.) When they say they're bored go to the list and give them something to do. It may not cure the boredom, but they'll learn to stop saying "I'm bored."
My kids love to draw, color, and paint. If they are bored, I can give them a bunch of paper and they go to town for hours.
Hey, bored was called "the B word" in my house growing up. If we ever said that we were bored during summer vacation, it turned into my mom sentencing us to weeding the garden for one hour for each "B" word useage. Too bad you don't have a garden. I know who DOES have some weeds though. Tell Trev and Abby I'm excited they might come to our house this summer. They'll never be bored again!
