Nassau

We pulled into Nassau around 3:00 pm and had until 11:00 am the next day to explore our only Bahama stop.

It was beautiful! The water was exactly the color we were looking for!

After arranging a snorkling trip for the next morning, Trev & Jerry went on a tour of the island and Abby and I went shopping.

And it was fun to stay overnight. Usually the cruise ships don't stay overnight. We found out from a cab driver that it was only $4.00 to ride over to the Atlantis and it was free after 7:30 pm. Jerry and I decided to do it! The kids had some teen activities they wanted to be on board for, so we left them on the ship.

The Atlantis was pretty amazing. The aquarium was free, so we wandered through. The cab ride back was pretty wild. I guess if you honk your horn the loudest, then you have the right of way. I'm also pretty sure that the cab drivers enjoy running other cars of the road. This was quite easily the most dangerous part of the trip!

AND we made it safely back to the port. I had a minute or two of wondering what would happen...to Abby & Trev.... if we didn't make it back....

We were back at the dock the next morning, bright and early to snorkle.

Abby was a little timid, but did stay in the water.

Here I am, probably dove down thirty feet. OK, maybe it was more like three.

And the fish of our family, Trevin and Jerry.

Jerry showing off. He can dive much better than me.

There's our snorkeling boat.

And Abby in a panic because a fish almost touched her.

Amazing pictures. That Atlantis Hotel has always intriqued me too. The underwater pictures are fantastic. I'd ask what camera you used, but you will never see an underwater pic from me. Twenty years on an island and I still refuse to learn how to swim. Water scares the daylights out of me. Ha! Excellent posts! I love them all.
